The combination of delicious food, superb wines and cocktails, together with the most beautiful setting in Antigua and professional yet personal service is what makes El Mesón Panza Verde stand out and satisfied guests to come back.

Begin your evening with a cocktail on our rooftop terrace, watching the sun set behind the volcanoes or in one of our two small and cosy bars. Proceed with dinner in your preferred ambience. The restaurant at Panza Verde offer several different settings for your dinner: outside on our patio surrounding the green garden filled with flowers, fountains and candles, in the original vaulted dining room or in La Cueva, the inner cave, perhaps where you find the most romantic ambience at Panza Verde, dining at one of the intimate tables next to the small swimming pool or at one of the round tables surrounded by grand chandeliers. It is also in La Cueva where on Thursday and Friday nights live music is performed. Thursday night there is a Latin jazz band playing and on Friday nights an excellent Cuban trio takes the small scene. Should you feel for it, spontaneous dancing is always welcomed!

Panza Verde strives to offer you “international cuisine with a twist”, which signifies classic dishes of pasta, meat, fowl and seafood prepared and served with innovative touches. Our Swiss head chef Christophe Pache finds his inspiration in cuisines from all parts of the world and brings refinement to the dishes. For a lighter lunch you might want to enjoy an Arugula salad, picked fresh from our own garden, tossed with sliced parmesan cheese and garlic, followed by a Fettucine Gorbachev, pasta with smoked salmon, vodka, tomato and cream. Or, try the Poulet Gorgonzola, breast of chicken in a gorgonzola sauce sautéed with red bell peppers, onions and mushrooms or one of our many fresh fish dishes, like the Tuna filet in curry sauce or Robalo Meuniére.

For dinner, begin by tempting your appetite with a baked camembert served with lindenberry sauce, or a Beef tenderloin Carpaccio, before you move on to a main dish, such as the swiss speciality Geschnetzeltes Zürich, which consists of sliced pork flambéed in cognac, with a demi-glacé, mushroom and white wine sauce or Steak Bourguignon. Or you might want to go for Jumbo shrimp in a garlic and wine sauce, or the popular Thai Stir Fry. Your choices are many, which sometimes make it hard to choose, but remember that lingering over a good menu is also part of a nice, long dinner. To round off your evening, there are of course also our delicious desserts together with coffees and liqueurs. Panza Verde is also proud to offer you an extensive list of fine wines and the largest selection of scotch, rum and tequila in Guatemala. Welcome!
